1、在口语中，表示否定可用no,或用not a/any,但后者比前者语气强

He has no question about it. 这方面他没有问题。

He has not any question about it. 这方面他没有任何问题。

但是当no修饰表语时，同not a意义不完全一样。这时 no具有感情色彩，意思是"绝非，可不是"

He is no teacher.他根本不是老师。

He is not a teacher.他不是老师。

2、在下列句子中，no用作副词

①与形容词或副词的级连用

It's no faster to go there by train than by car.坐火车去那儿并不比坐汽车快。

He went no further than the station.他只到了车站。

②和某些形容词连用，表示程度

This is no unimportant question.这绝非是不重要的东西。

③用于一些习语

There were no fewer than 50 people there . 在那里至少有50人。

It requires no less a person than the governor to settle the problem.这个问题需要州长级的人来解决。(no less a person than 意思是"身份或级别不低于…的人)

There were no less than 500 students present the lecture.参加讲座的学生多达500人。

No more than three people came to the meeting.只有3人来参加会议。

You can no more swim than I can fly.你不会游泳就像我不会飞一样。

Like it or no,you'll have to go to school.不管你喜不喜欢，你都得去上学。

3、nothing/nobody/no one作主语时，可分别用not anything/not anybody/not anyone来代替

There is no one here.=There is not any one here. 这儿没有人。

nobody相当于no one,两者都只能指人，不能指物，只能no one后面可以跟of 结构，nobody不可以跟of结构。注意：no one of 后不能跟表示物的名词,只能跟人

而none, any one, every one,some one可以表示人，也可以表示物，都可以与of短语连用

None of these presents is for me.这些礼物没有一件是我的。

Any one of the books is worth reading.这些书都值得一读。

Some one of the windows was broken.有一扇窗户被打破了。
