Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay on the importance of speaking ability and how to develop it. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.

这类作文的开头段落一般只需写两句话即可。

第一句：给出背景信息（background information）。该句话的主要目的，是引出要阐述的话题。

第二句：给出你的观点（opinion）。也就是，根据题干要求，阐述你对该主题的看法。

根据题*信息，我们发现此篇作文的topic是speaking ability，因此我们可以通过如下句子引出该topic:

It is true that people will definitely have to speak publicly at some time in their lives.

通过“speaking publicly” 引出主题

根据题干要求，从自己的角度给出个人的观点。可以简单的使用 I think/believe。

题目针对上述主题有2个要求：

1. 阐述speaking ability 的重要性
2. 阐述how to develop speaking ability.

因此，针对题目的这两个要求，我们可以抽象地给出如下个人观点：

Therefore, I think that it is of great significance to develop speaking ability and many approaches can be adopted to develop this ability.

这里之所以使用Therefore，是因为观点句正好可以跟第一句话构成因果关系。

将上面的2句话放在一起，我们可以得出上述作文的开头段，如下：

It is true that people will definitely have to speak publicly at some time in their lives. Therefore, I think that it is of great significance to develop speaking ability and many approaches can be adopted to develop this ability.
