你知道吗？在美国当代英语语料库统计的20000万个常用词中，be位列动词榜第一名，在4.5亿个单词中出现了12545825次。因为熟悉我们总以为掌握了它全部的用法，但是除了作系动词，以下这些用法你都知道吗？
频率最高的搭配：
be able>be likely>be available>be aware>be afraid
词形变化：
am，is，are； was，were；been
词义解析：
1、used to say something about a person， thing， or state， to show a permanent or temporary quality， state， job， etc。
（用来说明人、事物或状态，表示性质、状态、工作等）
He is rich。
他很富有。
It‘s cold today。
今天天冷。
That‘s all for now。
现在到此结束。
What do you want to be （= what job do you want to do）
when you grow up？
你长大后想做什么？
These books are （= cost） $3 each。
这些书每本50便士。
[ -ing verb ] The problem is deciding what to do。

2、be-all：n.the be-all and end-all：the most important thing

We all agreed that winning was not the be-all and end-all。

1、be murder ：（非正式场合）to be very difficult to do

2、be all in：If you say that you are all in， you mean that you are very tired and unable to do anything more。

3、be all go ：If a situation or place is all go， it is extremely busy。
