the： 用于特指人或事物。

定冠词the用法口诀：
口诀指导一：特指都知道，第二次提到。
Where is the red ball? 红色的球在哪儿？特指”红色的球“。
It’s under the bed.
I find a cat behind my house. The cat is small and lovely. 这里的猫是第二次提到，所以用了定冠词the。
口诀指导二：世上唯一有，专有普通构。
The moon is high in the sky.
Let’s go and see the Great Wall.
这两个句子中的月亮和长城都是属于唯一和专有的名词。
口诀指导三：序数最高级，习语及乐器。
He is reading on the second floor. second 在这里属于序数词，他正在二楼看书。
Let’s enjoy the third picture. 让我们来欣赏第三幅画。
He is the tallest boy in his class. 这个男孩是班上最高的。the用在最高级前面。
拓展：哪些词前不加定冠词the 呢？1、由拼音开头的专有名词：
Wangfujing Street 王府井大街
Tian’anmen Square 天安门广场
Beijing Roast Duck 北京烤鸭
2. 月份、星期、季节前：
He was born in July. 他出生在七月份。
I often play football on Saturday. 我经常在星期六踢足球。
It is warm in spring. 春天很温暖。
3. 除中国传统节日外的其他节日。
中国传统节日，就是中国所特有的节日，例如：
the Spring Festival 春节
the Mid-Autumn Festival 中秋节
the Double Ninth Festival 重阳节
而其他节日是指： Christmas, Mother’s Day, Teachers’ Day
4.名词前有物主代词my, your, his, its, her, our, their 或所有格’s时，也不用定冠词。
Please give me the book. 特指，需要用the，指的就是彼此面前的那本书。
Please give me my book. book前面有物主代词my，所以不用the。
5. 名词前有指示代词this，that, these, those时。
Do you want to eat the cake?
Do you want to eat this cake?
6. 名词前有不定冠词a/an时。
There is a bottle on the table. 桌子上有一只瓶子。
